Plantar Fasciotomy Last Week
by Anne
(Detroit)
I got a plantar fasciotomy on my left foot last week.
I have very little pain from the surgery. My doctor said he had to do a complete separation, whatever that means.
I've hobbled around some and the original pain is gone but now it just feels....weird.
It seems like it should hurt more, and my foot just feels loose or something.
I stopped the painkillers yesterday, and pain has increased some, but I'm staying off it as much as I can for at least another week, that seems smart, even though my doctor said I could walk on it right away.
So so far it's good. If it doesn't get any worse than this I'll be happy.
